Eaton HK Month-Long Pride Program

Re-membering: Touch Across Time

This June and July, Eaton HK invites you to Touch Across Time. Inspired by the work of queer theorist Carolyn Dinshaw, this year’s Pride Month program envisions an affective connection that moves beyond the linear boundaries of history. To touch the past is not merely to observe it, but to fulfill a deep-seated desire for a vibrant and diverse community, one that brings together the inhabitants of our history with the members of our present. It is the realization that our collective desire to keep the past alive is precisely what makes a "touch" with history possible.

"We are family," launched in 2006, is the only public voice for Hong Kong's LGBTQ+ community. Transformed into a self-funded community radio station in 2023, the show has been a mix of laughter and tears; the 17+3 birthday party will share behind-the-scenes stories and continue the belief in LGBTQ+ inclusion.
