UNHEARD: Live by AK in KK & WAVINCITY

This performance by two field recordists—WAVINCITY, who records the sound of the metropolitan neighborhoods, and AK IN KK, who records the sounds of the mountains and rivers—will take participants on an immersive, experimental journey that asks: If we had control over our own listening experiences, how would we like our sonic environment to be? How do we know our preferences without having the ability to decide on what to dismiss in our daily listening experiences? The mission of this performance is to transmit sounds of the Jordan neighborhood from past to present, and to kindle a renewed sense of intentional listening in our daily lives.
