We The People Art After Party

WE THE PEOPLE Art After Party will be an art show featuring new works by Billie Allen created in prison, alongside works by Halim Flowers.

On November 13, 2022 the Free Billie Allen Campaign with partners Justice Arts Coalition, Sunrise Movement DC, Missourians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty, and Mixed Change, are hosting a festival in praise of freedom to demand President Biden pardon Billie Allen, an innocent man on federal death row.

Billie Allen was wrongfully convicted and sentenced to death over 25 years ago for a crime he did not commit. As we approach the second anniversary of former president Trump’s federal execution spree during which 13 people were murdered by the state - including multiple people with innocence cases - it remains crucial that President Biden revisit his promises to take action to end the federal death penalty and examine innocence cases. WE THE PEOPLE March on Washington will begin with a rally and action at Farragut Square at 2:00pm with live music, dance, and performances. It will culminate in the presentation of hundreds of thousands of signatures demanding President Biden pardon Billie with immediate effect. Join us as we celebrate life and champion the rights of all those fighting for their freedom and justice.

WE THE PEOPLE Art After Party held at Eaton DC at 6:00pm will be an art show featuring works by Billie Allen himself created in prison, prolific and renowned artist Halim Flowers, and other selected artists impacted by the epidemic of wrongful conviction or mass incarceration. The Art After Party will offer an exclusive sneak peek into an upcoming art show of joint works by Flowers and Allen entitled My Brother’s Keeper.

Join us on November 13 at Farragut Square in the afternoon and Eaton DC in the evening for music, art, and action. Contribute to the Free Billie Allen Campaign’s efforts to bring Billie home and end the federal death penalty at bit.ly/freebillieallen2022.
