Join artist Rose Jaffe in conversation with financial educator and strategist Hadassah Damien and visual artist and entrepreneur B. Broadie as we discuss ways to thrive as artists in today's economy. We will explore systemic mindsets and beliefs around money that stand in our way and what has worked to break through and make meaningful moves toward collective success.
This will be a virtual zoom conversation with a Q&A portion at the end.
About the panelists:
Hadassah Damien: Hadassah Damien is a design strategist and facilitator, economics researcher and finance educator, open source technologist, award-winning LGBTQ artist, and entrepreneur. From participatory budgeting to crypto startups, DIY sliding-scale tours to traditional banking, she’s worked on the ways money can work better for people — and offers strategic approaches to her readers and clients.
B. Broadie: B. Broadie is a visual artist based in PG County, Maryland. His inspiration has been birthed from the richness of Black History, the present and possibilities of the future. Being a Black Gay male artist he hopes to inspire future generations of creators to believe in themselves, and embrace their dreams on their journey through life.
Rose Jaffe: Rose Jaffe is a Washington, D.C. based visual artist, with mediums spanning mural painting, printmaking, and illustration. She has painted over 35 murals nationally and internationally, including over 25 in her hometown. She is dedicated to harnessing the power of art to spark conversation, build connection, and create social change.
