Coworking Network for Former Government Community | Eaton DC
Free Co-Working Space for the Former Government & Military Community | Eaton Washington DC
If you've left federal service — or been impacted by the government shutdown — you don't have to navigate what's next alone. Every Tuesday from 9AM to 5PM, beginning September 9, Former Gov and Eaton House at Eaton Washington DC are opening their doors to provide a free, welcoming co-working space built specifically for the former government and military community.
Working from home is isolating. Coffee shops are busy and transactional. This space is something different — a casual, friendly environment where you can get real work done while being surrounded by people who understand exactly where you are and where you're headed. Come to focus, come to connect, come to commiserate, or come just to be around others who get it.
Throughout the day, a loose agenda of casual activities helps give structure to the space — but you are always welcome to drop in, drop out, or stay all day. There are no requirements, no sign-in sheets, and no pressure. Just community.
You may also find yourself crossing paths with coaches, resource organizations, and co-sponsors who are present in the space specifically to help former government employees and military members take advantage of tools, benefits, and opportunities available to them on their next journey. The more this space is used and loved, the longer it can continue — so please spread the word.
