Cut It Out: A Dangerously Absurd Paper Collage Making Session

In this workshop, you are invited to reject all logic and take everything out of context. MD-based collagist, and Eaton House Resident, Khadija Jahmila will give the inside scoop on how she lets her subconscious speak through pasting cut or torn paper items to form composite works. She will distribute prompts from which participants can seek inspiration to create their own surrealist collages using provided second-hand materials!

All are welcomed, no prior collage experience needed.

Khadija Jahmila (b. 1993, Maryland) is an Afro-Caribbean mixed-media artist, creative entrepreneur, and art educator whose work blends hand-cut paper and digital collage to explore Afrofuturistic themes and surrealism.
