Ancestral Frequencies: An Art Month Party

Healing is rarely found on the path of least resistance. It is found in the conscious, in the process of confronting the self. With "Stepping Stones Won’t Break My Bones", Sharu Binnong constructs a quiet dialogue between the weight of the body and the ground supporting us.

In this piece, the exhibition floor is transformed into a landscape of fabricated pebbles and fragmented eggshells. Visitors are asked to traverse this terrain, where every footfall becomes a conversation with resilience. On the wall, eggshells mended with hair speak to the intimate labour of repair, turning the idiom "walking on eggshells" from a metaphor of fear into a physical reality of care. To walk here, to be aware of every shell and stone, is to practice a deliberate softness that rebuilds us, a step by careful step into wholeness and into ourselves.
