UNHEARD: Arturia Workshop w/ Noah Zheng

This workshop offers an accessible introduction to synthesizers and sound design, beginning with a brief look at the history of synthesis and its role in shaping modern music. Participants will learn how classic analog synthesizers became essential tools for artists, producers, and sound designers, before moving into an exploration of synthesis techniques using Arturia’s Memory V software.

Memory V captures the colossal analogue character and triple-oscillator architecture of the legendary 1982 Memorymoog in exceptional detail, making it an ideal tool for understanding vintage polyphonic synthesis. Through practical demonstrations, participants will learn how stacked oscillators, Unison, Vintage drift, ladder filtering, modulation, and effects can be used to create analog-inspired sounds with depth, movement, and bite.
