Drag You to HELLoween

Tracing back the long history of queer celebrations, Halloween has been the unofficial “Christmas” for the LGBTQ+ community since 1950s and 60s in the USA. At that time, cross-dressing was prohibited in many cities and states across the country, but on Halloween, queers could dress in drag without the worry of arrest. It made Halloween a "safe time" for LGBTQ+ groups transgressing all sorts of social boundaries, the only time of year that queer people could dress fabulously flamboyant, loud and extra without being ostracized, punished or criticized.

Following this "Gay Christmas” tradition, “Drag You to HELLoween" presents our community with an extravaganza of the supernatural with spooktacular performances by Drag Jam, a local diverse and inclusive performance group promoting the cultures of drag in HK and challenging gender and sexual norms, as well as DJ set of the "real life Energizer Bunny", DJ FABSABS on the decks, bringing monster party vibes wherever he spins.

Entry is HK$150, with a free drink at Terrible Baby, on us!
