(which stands for “Drifters of South Asia”) last month released a self-titled LP on the Silk Road Sounds label. Link to the LP in bio</p><p><br></p><p>The debut record with its fluctuations of emotion and reference points to Cantonese films and folk music is a satirical love affair with the city that never sleeps and pays homage to the forgotten Canton folk style "Namm Yam" - which is a specific singing style that circulated Hong Kong's opium dens and brothels before fading away in the 1930's due to government crackdown.</p><p><br></p><p>We are excited to have the band for an interview and intimate streamed performance on 23/4 at 10pm on facebook.com/eatonhkhotel and ig live.</p><p><br></p><p>On Colony Kids SOS we hear from artists and creatives talk about craft, creation, crisis and our city.</p>
